A long walk was required to
get to a little dock. A lot of boats were anchored and floating lifeless
on the water. The water was looking incredibly clear. ,,Better than the
camping'', was my first thought. After a ten minute wrestle with my diving
suit, I was able to get into the water. When I got in, I was very disappointed.
The water surface was filled with some liquid. It made the water look like
a colorless juice. I figured the stuff was leaking from the boats. So I
made some deeper dives. Fortunately, the water was very, very, very clear
down there. And the bottom was very, very. very covered with big debris.
I also discovered that the day-wrecking juice wasn't all over the place.
That wais the ugly part of
the debris. Some big parts of old boats were to be admired as well.
Left: At a little depth I bump
into this thing. This must have been a part of a
small boat. Or it's been placed down there for the tourists. I don't
really care, it looks nice.
Right: It's a wall. Or a piece
of a wall, at least. Standing like a sword that's been struck into the
ground,
the thing is unmovable. At
the left you can see some sort of a mechanical
wheel. Or something. Heck, it's not an electrical toothbrush for sure.
Left: Well, well, well. These
little creatures are very rare to me. Actually, it's the first one I ever
saw in the Mediterranean.
Right: This picture was hard
to take. The fish were panicked. Probably because of my ugly face which
suddenly appeared to them. So this one's a bit wasted.
No shortage of fish in Cassis.
I was very impressed by these scenes. I'm sure that I'll come back here.
Sooner or later. Once you've seen it, you can't let go of it. It's like
a drug addiction. Only worse.
