My life. I was
born in Heerlen. That's in the south of the Netherlands. Way in the south.
I lived there for 9 years, but that doesn't mean very very much to me.
I moved to Weert. That's also in the south, but not 'way in the south'.
Let's say it's a rough 50 km (35 miles) to the north of Heerlen. Although
I spend most of my lifetime in Heerlen so far, I remember a lot more of
Weert than any other place. Every morning, the sun was right in my window.
Great way to get up. But outside, the air smelled like, eh, like pigshit
or something. Then I moved again. Some crazy bitch forced my dad to be
transferred to Apeldoorn (middle of the Netherlands). I never expected
any of that, but it was certain. We had to move to some place within a
radius of 40 km of Apeldoorn. The houses within that radius were pretty
expensive. So we got a house in Rijssen. That's in Overijssel. To get to
Rijssen, we had to drive 200 km to the north. Big disadvantage: It's often
colder in Rijssen. More wind too. It's been one and a half year ago since
I moved. The weather hasn't got any better, but it's pretty much fun right
now. Here are the pictures of the house in Weert and in the one in Rijssen.
The house in Weert. It looks a bit ugly on
the right side, but as you can see: great atmosphere.
The house in Rijssen. Somewhat newer (more
white), which makes it uglier in my opinion.
